If you want to complain about whether stating the truism, "software has bugs" is nice or not, it can wait until the danger has passed.

Silence? OK, but you at least have a persuasive argument for why "bugs exist in software" should qualify as vulnerability disclosure, right?

Here is one for you, "it is well known that ignorance is bliss, so saying that software isn't perfect unfairly deprives people of bliss".

Syllogisms don't make an argument. Though they are fun to read.

I guess my fake argument isn't as good as your imaginary argument? OK, well, can I at least get an apology for the "danger" accusation?

Only if you accept that uncontrolled disclosure can put users at risk...

Geez Gilles, you don't have an argument for why "bugs exist" should be considered disclosure and you didn't like my fake one. I give up lol.

I would have responded to your previous response but you deleted it before I could.

Cool, is that your counterargument? "You replaced a tweet, QED". You certainly seem to know what you're talking about, you can do better.

You were the one who asked me to "focus". Then you place a moving target. You can do better.

So you won't present an argument, but you think I should just concede the point. If not, you wont apologize for making baseless accusation?

Only if you concede that announcing "a bug" and not giving more detail only helps generate fear encourages bad guys to look into it.

Absolutely, until Friday all blackhats thought that Windows was bug free, now they're scurrying to find bugs. Mea culpa on that one.
