I think F-PROT was essentially dead in 08/09 although VB100 last looked at it in 2012.

The last F-PROT for Win was in 2011. Trivial update with better handling of Word 6 files. Word 6.

The updates these days are all handled via the database. Customers didn't like product version changes.

It updates a single av def file with a port 80 GET to a ctmail URL. That's a show stopper.

Yeah, it's bad when the AV does it but it's really scary when the OS update does it.
