We all like to assume phones are reasonably secure. The reality is that we don’t really have good and enough data to prove or disprove it. Simple as that.

It could be that way, it’s acceptable scenario. But for example every time we cross a border we have no idea about the capabilities against our phone devices. Grayshift et al are still out there breaking stuff and we really have no idea about their capabilities, good or not.
