I'm confused, that doesn't seem at all relevant to the problem. The problem isn't detection, who cares if it's imperfect?
It made XSS harder, but it turns out there isn't anything safe you can do when you detect an attack. If you can solve that problem, then people will want it back, but some very smart people think it's unsolvable
