Is it known when this JS interpreter has been implemented? Like is it a recent feature or legacy code which was just forgotten by being most likely unproperly documented in the past?

So how can they just disable this feature and not have their protection affected? Legacy code, maybe?

I hear from informal chats there is brutal competition to win industry detection metrics, because customers will just pick the winner. Adding crazy features to score a single point wouldn't be questioned, as nobody picks the product with the smallest attack surface.

I can delete it if it's bothering you? I was trying to be a smart aleck because I read it as techsplaining my field to me, but don't want to cause distress or anything!

that’s cool they could (and did) disable it but it makes me sad to think of all the products that can’t just disable big attack surfaces because they are a core feature of the product.
