If you’re freaked out that your browser turned something called “DNS over HTTPS” on, you’re being bamboozled. DoH is a good thing.

The argument here is that, because some organization I have chosen to trust might betray that trust, I should make things drastically easier for the organization I know I can’t trust. It’s baffling.

No it's not. The argument is, that the current setting replaces one trusted entity (ISP) with two trusted entities (ISP, DoH provider) is not a good idea.

As I understand it, you can only chose one at the moment. Having a list of trustworthy ones (like
@applied_privacy ) and alternating through them would make the situation a lot better. Do you know if@mozilla plans something like this? -
The page I just linked to explains how more providers can join, the bar is *very* high,
