You said I didn't understand that there was a difference between access for one minute and access for three months. Rebooting every minute is ridiculous, so that scenario doesn't make sense - give me a realistic scenario where I couldn't just adjust my behaviour to compensate.
Umm, no. You have tunnel vision on surviving a reboot. That is a weird thing to be concerned about. I care about not losing my data, which I think is not quite as niche.

As I've already said, disagree. I don't think there is any realistic scenario where the value changes, and therefore nobody should be focussed on persistence. It's a buzzword, and you've caught the buzz
