I don't use macOS, I wasn't aware Apple had removed the ability to create 32bit segment descriptors. Sure, it wasn't a criticism. I think the CPU does most of the work, so it seems like a pretty small reduction in kernel complexity, but I like reducing complexity, so it's okay with me!
