      Nope, looks like that was a real vulnerability. That one is expired and revoked - if they're still doing that with a new certificate, then it needs to be revoked too... haha, it never ends 😅

      i reported to their disclosure program and I was told it was working as intended so I just published it online >.> they sent spotify oauth tokens in ‘plain’ via it

      Yikes. I get that the attack isn't obvious, but surprising the person answering security@ thought a compromised private key was okay.

          DNS rebinding attacks were way less known back in 2017 to most people, so it could just be ignored as "it's only to localhost".

          this wouldn’t be dns rebinding I am pretty sure... dns rebinding only serves to break sameorigin for services that are intended to be ACL’d by network segmentation. in this case, you’d want to change the DNS record itself to your server & decode using the gleaned private key
