Most of the major malware families don't use it though. If they don't want to use it, they don't need to. There is no reason to think DNS Over HTTP provides any capabilities that didn't already exist.

It’s a good thing for consumers. For enterprises it raised the bar of security technical requirements, kinda feeds into security poverty for orgs that can’t invest in tooling.

I don't follow, it absolutely must be possible for Administrators to disable DoH via group policy, I don't think anybody claims otherwise? If you're Administrator, it's your endpoint and you can disable all privacy controls if you wish.

SSL made it harder to monitor http traffic, but it was indisputably a good change. DoH would be the same. i don't see how anyone can argue otherwise, unless they work for powerdns :P

Why is everyone pretending that encryption is the problem? We have a LOT of protocols now that support TLS. We aren't tunneling them over https. There is a difference.
