Canary. The warning landed recently by one of
@estark37's team: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/a7a748796156366cb6c6172e91760d32d698f586 … The question is whether it's firing wrong, or whether this variable is somehow set but hidden from my environment (exciting!).1 reply 0 retweets 13 likes -
Well, lookie here. When you install
@avast_antivirus, it secretly injects this into Chrome's environment block.pic.twitter.com/oSTtCLC51f

The message landed in Canary on 8/7. Prior to that, there was no UI warning.

I'm not sure I understand what you're suggesting? Avast is using this on purpose. Chrome is warning about it on purpose.

There's no security boundary being violated?
