I am so confused by the constant question of “well if not PGP then what?” Huh? Nobody uses PGP. It’s like asking “if not Betamax then what?” It’s not even wrong. Use Signal and Wire like everyone else.

How do you get encrypted reports for security@company with the apps (that you can't verify are authentic when you download from the store)? With PGP you can store the same private key in multiple HW devices for members of the team.

It's kind of a hassle though, for reporters and receivers. I think making sure you've got a good TLS story for SMTP is probably better, because people actually use that. 🤷‍♂️

I can count on zero fingers the number of vuln reports I’ve gotten that used PGP. If someone sent me a key, I’d probably ask them to use wormhole instead.

Every job ive held since 2012 has used GPG in some fashion. However sending disclosures with GPG is rare for me, almost no one replies with a key when asked, and as long as it doesnt impact my security i dont care how it is sent

TLS and SMTP is not enough in some contexts.

You're right, but it is very usable and doesn't get in the way - which is a big benefit.

Yes, transport security is better than noting but sometimes you need end to end at least for a period of time.

Wormhole is e2e, and I’d bet more people used it than PGP this year to send real messages/documents, despite the fact that almost nobody knows what wormhole is. So just use wormhole.
