Cloudflare is currently down, including the Cloudflare DoH server that is the default DoH server for Firefox, if you enabled it. We may ponder the wisdom of anointing a third party by default for browser DNS.pic.twitter.com/F344ni74sR

I dunno, that kinda reads like you're just hedging against an unpopular opinion. Like, you're not against DNS encryption, but you do think we need to discourage adoption?
Where do I say that? Did you look at my presentation?pic.twitter.com/elw6uFkvT9
Yes, I looked at it, and as I said, it reads like you're hedging against an unpopular opinion. e.g. "I'm pro encryption, but it must be escrowed with the proper authorities" is not what most people would consider a pro-encryption stance, right?
i was at the presentation. nowhere was said what you are implying. you are just wrong, perhaps due to people are no fan of your employer?
I don't think I'm wrong. If someone says "I'm pro-encryption, so long as it's escrowed encryption" then they are not pro-encryption. If someone says "I'm pro dns-encryption, so long as network admins can read queries" then they are not pro dns-encryption, agreed?
Possibly the easiest solution is what DNS does in its normal configuration, which would be to have more then a single provider in the list, still encrypted, but your entire browser won’t stop working when that one provider goes down.
