Your tone is quite accusatory, nevertheless I will try to help. You are probably using some network tool that is showing you multicast activity on your network, it is normal and safe and no cause for concern. That is just an old technical blog that mentions multicast dns.

we dont use multicast in any form never have. we do not have any tv subscriptions its the least technical set up ever yet we have for 3 years had a unknown device with that ip show on network scans apps or web tools
