I don’t think that is a fair criticism of the ecosystem; Binary Ninja, and probably others, is closer to feature parity than that.

It's more than 50% parity. For folks doing RE >20hrs/wk, preferences we're pretty evenly split across the 2 tools which I think speaks to how it's a close equal/competitor. It has features IDA has never tried to address & IDA has some that it doesn't. It should shake things up :)
