      ‚Bricked‘ used to mean unrecoverable without special tools. If it’s “just“ memory corruption, a simple reboot would probably fix it - no DFU restore (or worse) necessary, right?

          I‘m guessing plenty of people are curious how the crash turned into a brick and when they didn‘t find any info they concluded that you simply meant the crash. At least that‘s what I did.

          That should be mentioned in the bug report. "bricked" is a whole lot more serious than "kernel panic -> reboot -> all good".

          It's a remote kernel memory corruption, it doesn't get any more serious than that. A real attack isn't going to have any visible effect, you're just going to be compromised. The "bricked" part was just a fun anecdote.
