Happy to confess to using one: I feel much more comfortable with that than a password manager. I do not share an office, I know exactly who has access to it and I can keep it in a good safe. Plus, no matter how many showers Tavis takes he still can’t hack it remotely.
P.S. A a nod to “security through obscurity” mine does not have “passwords” written on it and it is obfuscated with my handwriting, famously described as “ant droppings” by a university lecturer.
Although it has no phishing protection
Totally agree with @taviso - if the choice was either this or password-reuse (as it is for most people who are overwhelmed by technology b/c computer security isn’t their life), I’d recommend the cute notebook & avoid the credential stuffing
but hey, has disadvantages too: * no integrated password generation functionality -> does not encourage random passwords * encourage to unique (and long!) password may be limited due to usability * secure deletion is not guaranteed * no synchronization (yeah, people want that)
The last point is quite easy to achieve. The book never leaves your sight ;)
The change of stickers will never deter snooping whether lost or not. It is totally Security adverse
