We may see severe weather in Mississippi today, including potential hail, flash flooding, and tornadoes. Stay safe, have a plan for you and your family, and be sure to pay attention for updates from your respective National Weather Service office.

Big move in the push to eliminate the income tax! We now have a bill that eliminates the income tax without raising any other taxes. This would be a huge boon to our economy. Grateful for all those willing to be bold who are working throughout this process to get a great plan!

Given what the bill actually prohibits, as opposed to what the media and critics attribute to it, does this sound like censorship or failing to teach actual history to you? Or does it really sound like a re-affirmation of our commitment to treating everyone equally under the law?

WINNING: Mississippi becomes the fourteenth state to pass anti-critical race theory legislation. The bill strengthens civil rights law and prohibits public schools and universities from promoting racial scapegoating, collective guilt, and state-sanctioned racism.

I’ve proclaimed April as Genocide Awareness and Prevention Month.   The systematic destruction of lives has spanned areas and cultures from Armenia to Darfur, the Holodomor to the Holocaust.   Genocide has no place in society, and we must do everything we can to prevent it.

In too many schools around the US, CRT is running amok. It threatens the integrity of education & aims only to humiliate and indoctrinate. That’s why I signed legislation that will help keep CRT where it belongs – out of MS classrooms. Watch full video

The Girl Scouts do more than sell delicious cookies. They encourage entrepreneurship, foster critical thinking, and promote problem solving skills. I was happy to have my littlest Scout, Maddie, help me proclaim Girl Scout Week in Mississippi!

Endless spending has lowered the value of our dollars and made it that much harder for Americans to get the needed essentials. Our families work hard to balance our checkbooks, yet the federal government recklessly uses a credit card with our names on it.

It was wonderful reading with these kindergarten students from Highland Bluff Elementary. I loved getting to see the smiles on these sweet students’ faces as we read ‘M is for Magnolia’ together!
