What do you all think of this thread? Do you think he’s saying hard truths that we need to face and do something about? Do you think he’s overreacting/reaching at best, and fear-mongering at worst? Or do you have other opinions? I’d like to hear your cogent, non-mean ones.https://twitter.com/AndrewYang/status/1168599802122297347 …

The Odessa shooter lived in a shack with no heat or running water, he threatened neighbors with his AR-15, and shot critters from his house. This is fear-mongering. The stuff Yang is worried about won’t be a problem for at least 15-20 years. We don’t need UBI. We need unions.

To expand on this,
@ArlanWasHere - I think Yang has good intentions, but he’s focused on far-future problems rather than the ones we have today. I think this focus might be a result of having blinders on regarding issues of race and social justice.1 reply 0 retweets 3 likes
Am I the only one who thinks 15-20 years is still a very short period of time? Will be here before we know it. And yet am relieved to see a candidate think in terms of decades vs usual "until I get elected"
