Can you break this down at all? What is step one? Is it as simple as asking Google questions? Should I be searching sites other than Google? (Erm Google scholar?

Something I seem to run into is that seems sometimes if you want to get good search results you need to know some specialized vocabulary already, otherwise you get a bunch of content optimized for SEO instead of for value.
