To add: Journalists (in their way) & public health experts (in their way) *DO* need to spend energy educating, informing & explaining Covid vaccines & the questions that might drive hesitancy. That’s different than reporting on hesitancy itself. More:https://twitter.com/tarahaelle/status/1333914306279313408?s=21 …

I agree! It is premature to argue with people about safety since they are still doing science by press release. I bet the data will be clean, but until I see it I can’t say. They are not yet FDA approved. Avoid arrogance.

Yeah. Offer vaccines to people freely and easily and most will get them. Though is it slightly different in this case since the vaccine is unlikely to be delivered via existing and trusted healthcare relationships?
-
Some vaccines need only std refrigeration so should be avail in most medical offices. Eventually

@tarahaelle, the present@whitehouse dug the hole so deep, it seems impossible for some to trust any developments that precede the oversight and review by Democrat@whitehouse scientists and@joebiden @SenKamalaHarris DJT and Mitch broke all trust in this US gov't. ALL of it. -
That’s why journalists should focus on why we can trust these vaccines and digging deep to find out if there are reasons we shouldn’t. Reporting on the general public’s opinions has no value here.

I agree. I am just not sure how much further from the easy clickbait can media step. News reporting has changed and lost a lot of its initial value by changing into easy attention seeking and empty journalism.

Seriously, do like the nice lady says. Lots of folks are going to WANT this vaccine, but who will have trouble getting it and WHY? (and yeah that should be everyone wanting it, but we can fight about that later)
-
Sure, vaccine hesitancy will eventually become an issue for Covid vaccines. But that’s way down the line and we can cross that bridge when we get to it. (Public health folks should be preparing, but the rest of us don’t need to right now.) And attitudes will change over time too.
