@tapbot_paul its one of the features on Android that annoy me the most..

@tapbot_paul Sadly, there’d be huge scope for abuse by bad actors. That’d be a tricky problem to solve. -
@joshducharme not really any different than registering a URL handler in Mac. Could easily be solved by prompting for permission on 1st tap. -
@tapbot_paul Seems Apple has taken a much harder line on this type of thing on iOS though. Different scale/type of user base.

@tapbot_paul the flows in which they work are painfully limited too. I was expecting more. - View other replies

@timonus Opener would work much better with that kind of OS support. -
@tapbot_paul yeah, was hoping their OS support would resemble it more -

@eli_schiff@tapbot_paul thank you! -
@tapbot_paul That will be a "feature" in iOS 10. -
@tapbot_paul A big yep. -
@tapbot_paul And bacon should be free. -
@tapbot_paul So like Android -
@tapbot_paul exactly. I don't want to use Twitter App, I'd rather use@tweetbot instead.. -
@tapbot_paul I’m noticing Amazon links in Safari lead to the app which doesn’t do anything and then reverts to the product page in Safari…hm
