@tapbot_paul wait... Does that mean you can drop OS support and fall back on old binaries? Docs?

@duffyswann@tapbot_paul This is a totally new development. Until yesterday, once an app was updated, there was no way to downgrade users -

@duffyswann@tapbot_paul haha..yeah..no shit. Many devs who painstakingly are keeping iOS 6 support, may have dropped it. Thanks apple...

@tapbot_paul how was this not common knowledge? Many times I have restored an iCloud backup and immediately had 30 or so apps to update. -
@mikbre Paul was referring to how if you are on iOS 6 and the latest version of an app is iOS 7 only, you can roll back to an older version! -
@jonzhan that’s the same basic functionality, it’s pulling a non-current version from the App Store -
@mikbre Oh I understand that! But I guess nobody knew Apple was going to choose to make it available. :) -
@jonzhan I guess Apple realized a lot of people were putting in preemptive workarounds, so they had to get the word out.

@tapbot_paul one more thing… -
@tapbot_paul Tweetbot also will be like this? -

@tapbot_paul What Exactly Does This Mean? -
@tapbot_paul Sounds great unless the old version has a bug or calls unsupported services. There should be a way to opt-out apps. -
@tapbot_paul seriously. wtf -
@tapbot_paul I'm interested to see if it will be optional, or automatic. -
@tapbot_paul I get the feeling its been there a while, and nobody noticed -
@tapbot_paul I think they added it lately. There was an unusual number of iTC „scheduled“ maintenance periods
