My first impression was that *all* democrats in Texas were being chased out of the state - which was concerning for a millisecond considering how close the state is to flipping blue at the state level. I feel as though the wording is purposely malicious towards progress.

When I read that, I hear “escaping danger.” If they stay they’ll be arrested/detained, brought into Congress, and the GOP will have their quorum to vote in voter restrictions.
