Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there. Thanks for everything you do.
And to those missing their dad today, I know how you feel.
Australia is determined to be a global leader. Wonderful to discuss shared opportunities with our international partners at the G20 Climate and Environment Ministers Meeting.
When it comes to reversing environmental decline - the task is great, but so is the opportunity.
It’s a global transformation - a chance to embrace sustainability, to drive renewables + new technologies, + an urgency to protect + restore our environment before it’s too late.
, Indonesia’s Environment and Forestry Minister, for hosting the G20 Environment and Climate Ministers Meeting. I look forward to working together to tackle issues in our region, including plastics pollution and waste management.
We’ll regulate it so it can’t be misused – to make sure it’s for projects that make a real impact, not greenwashing. And we’ll encourage people to invest in it.
Economics has always been about what we choose to value. Traditionally, we’ve valued many activities that degrade our environment. I’m proposing we attach the same value to activities that help nature - like replanting a stretch of koala habitat or restoring a damaged waterway.
, German Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection. One of our shared focuses is promoting a circular economy to address plastic pollution.
This is what collaboration achieves.
Just announced: 180,000 fee-free TAFE places in 2023.

Discussions about water are always going to be heated - that’s why it’s important we have them. I’ll always be upfront about the challenges ahead, + engage with as many people as possible to develop our govt’s plans.
Thanks for having me at the 2022 Bush Summit

It will mean farmers and landholders who restore or manage local habitat can receive biodiversity certificates which can then be sold to others.
Flying into Griffith this morning for the 2022 Bush Summit.
I’m here to discuss our government’s commitments about water, biodiversity, and the challenges we face.
