    Excellent summary - scanning+filtering+additive aggr = unbelievable! Small-big table joins = excellent! Big fact-fact joins = back to normal

    Oh it is SQL. But it's the nature of joins on a massively-distributed cluster, they are relatively much more expensive than we're used to
