To clarify: I think Hawley HAS read Orwell, but thinks Napoleon was the hero of Animal Farm. And apologies to @Alanis who is a goddess, and as a Canadian I'm sure has a great sense of...what's the word...the opposite of what the outcome you'd expect is? Slipped my mind.

Further: he said Orwellian, but did he mean Kafkaesque? Because he woke up as a giant cockroach at some point in his life, but just leaned into it.
