The richest guy on Earth can launch himself into space while over half the country lives paycheck to paycheck, nearly 43 million are saddled with student debt, and child care costs force millions out of work. He can afford to pitch in so everyone else gets a chance.

And they could use some of that deserved extra income to buy really *nice* bottles to pee into. I’m talking tailor-made, custom-sized, pre-heated pee bottles. (Or get unionized, fools.)

Amazon would be fine with that because they can absorb those costs while they know small buisness can't and it would wipe out small buisness. It's the unfortunate part of raising it, great in theory but bad in practical.

Or Bezos would cut staff and pay fewer employees more. As is often the case of raising minimum wage. Also fwiw Bezos built his company from nothing, taking massive risks into an unknown market which didn’t exist…(but he should pay reasonable taxes!)

Amazon already cuts staff and makes it next to impossible for employees to take breaks. He also was given hundreds of thousands of dollars by his parents to start it actually. So from nothing isn’t exactly true.

Amazon would go full force with robots to handle processing and sorting. Prob headed that way anyway but a higher minimum would only accelerate that plan.
