    everything (not just vaccines) takes forever here and require so much red tape. makes me think its an elaborate job creation program more than anything.

    still infuriating seeing how much more the US, UK and Israel have been vaccinating. Hard not to blame it on typical systematic German affinity to bureaucracy 🤷🙃

    Found this detailed page with stats about corona vaccination in Berlin: Still not vaccinating fast enough (12k per day, for a city population of 3.7m) but hopefully it picks up speed now that AZ is re-approved...

    In general the number of indie studios that release one game and then go under is... astronomical. And it's often not noticed or reported on at all, they launch their game and then fade away, everyone finds other jobs or leaves games or whatever

    I thought it was like, a well-understood fact by now that most indie games on PC are sold at unsustainably low prices that make it very unlikely that you can recoup development costs (let alone fund a second project) without an outlier success?

    Genuine question: When people say they’ve ‘never met a lazy dev’, they mean dev TEAM right? Or are they actually saying they’ve never met a game developer (individual) that is lazy?

    Capitalism brain makes this seem like a logical decision ("well duh, they're losing money") but it seems to me that the console makers have an ethical obligation to maintain and preserve video game history. If operating stores is too costly, make these games playable elsewhere
