this is the gig economy + the fissured workplace in action. the people who get the most fucked by it are the employees, not those who use the services. everyone cheering his firing in the replies is a scab and a fool. he doesn’t receive training and is paid shit + no benefits

i’ve had this whole thing muted for a while but i’m just gonna forward this thread here! reminder that i truly believe that we should be fighting for a world in which all transport is safe, accessible, and fairly compensated. also calling some1 out on twitter isn’t “doing harm”https://twitter.com/kristinrawls/status/1218231251989139461 …

uber drivers receive absolutely minimal training. is there no compassion or understand for the fact that he likely didn’t understand the weight of ADA? how could you report something when from the transcript you showed he was not malicious? they use their own cars and r paid shit

The employee had to agree to follow the law to even sign up for Uber. It's his own damn fault he signed without reading. Your take is kinda nonsense

No. They do know the law. She explains it EVERY TIME and it's in their work contracts that they sign when they sign up to drive for uber. She explained to them very clearly they could lose their jobs over this. They knew the possible result of their discrimination
-
She also knows she has access to a WAV by selecting it in the
@uber app. Video recording and texting the drivers was not an earnest attempt to be accommodated - Show replies

Attacking a woman in a wheelchair for trying to secure necessary travel after her car got totaled is unspeakably cruel. Capitalism wants (in fact, demands) that we fight each other instead of the system. This is a manifestation of that. Do better next time.
