Thank you. I can confirm as a member of an ethnic minority I am far less traumatized by racism on Twitter than the bloke who broke into my flat at 3am while I was asleep a few years ago: I know which I would far rather the police focused on.
What a load of bollocks that policeman said. If you take this idea of the police to its logical conclusion then everybody who tweets would be arrested, because everything we say is likely to offend someone somewhere. Stop Policing speech and investigate crime.
Also I have seen many tweets calling for the white population to be eradicated, males to have the same, but never seen any of those people arrested for hate crimes let alone hurting my feelings.
I'm an ethnic minority in my city.....Will I get any help If i report a hate crime?? No...because I'm white and English. I'm the bottom of the pile. Apparently any other colour/culture/religion comes first. I don't care what you are, deal with it consistently for everyone!
deal with real crime first. Rather be called white trash and ignore it but know the police will deal with the knife crime in my area and make the streets safer!
