Updated meaning map creation code now posted on OSF. Simplified code, a few bugs fixed, added contextualized meaning as in Peacock, C., Hayes, T. R., & Henderson, J. M. (in press) Acta Psychologica. . Please drop us a note if you're using meaning maps.

Why do we use grades in middle school? My daughter’s best friend is giving up her dream of engineering at MIT at age 11 b/c of a C in 6th grade math. *This is the pipeline problem.* Every kid can learn this stuff. We should teach to mastery, not to evaluations.

I'm hosting an event here at UCSD for Dick Atkinson soon- a "fireside chat" between me and him about his work on memory and the influence it still has today (plenty!). They want me to plan some questions in advance -- anything you'd want to hear him speak about if this was you?

This letter gets intellectual property exactly backwards. It’s not the property of publishers that will be “nationalized” and given away for free. It’s national property that has been corporatized and is being repatriated to the people who funded it. Embarrassing for
