Good news: Death Trash has sold enough now that it made back its development costs and we can finish it on our own. Apart from that we we'll have to see how it continues. So no change in plans for now. Forward, step by step! Thank you so much for helping making this a reality.

Isn't it exciting nowadays that you only need a computer and internet to make your successful dream game and also years of experience plus years of development time, endless pool of motivation and figuring out selling in an oversaturated market? ^^

Wow. Game development happens so fast nowadays. One day you have an idea for a game and the other day you're an old man and still not finished with that game, but you made some progress.

Look, maybe it needs to be clarified: I'm not interested in making a Fallout game. I'm interested in making Death Trash the best Death Trash game it can be. If you would offer me the Fallout license for example I would decline. I'm already working on my dream game.

Took me six years to get to this point. I hope you're ready for this!

The two most important lessons I learned about #gamedev: 1. Show your game early! Good for feedback and knowing if anyone's interested in it other than yourself. 2. Don't show your game early! People will naturally assume release is soon.

Hey, #MeetTheDev, I'm Stephan and working on my own projects. I released lots of small games. My current project has 100,000+ lines of code and I do the art, design, writing and marketing too. I'm not a real gamedev though because I don't have a game yet you can buy.

I'm sad that the Pillars of Eternity series, hitting right in the middle of my old Black Isle heart, and so well made, wasn't a commercial mega hit to warrant a steady stream of more of its kind. It's 2022 and the list of games I'm looking forward to feels a bit empty.

Reminder that if you buy Death Trash you're getting an unfinished game. Don't buy it for the content per dollar you get right now. Buy it: - If you're happy with a few hours. - If you're waiting on the final game and want a bigger taste already. - If you want to support us.

Death Trash is hammering Lovecraft into Fallout, let characters be Conan with a shotgun, sprinkle Monkey Island dust everywhere while Death Metal is playing in the background, then add feelings and make it dead serious again, but post ironically about it. deathtrash.com

General reminder: Don't buy unfinished games clearly marked as such when you might get annoyed about the unfinished state of the game or how long the development of that game takes!

Life is pretty much like an Open World RPG nowadays: Quest Log always full, orcs everywhere, the next distraction right around the corner, and the nagging feel that you should have spent your skill points more wisely.

It's about time we push this forward. Please read this, share this, and wishlist the game on Steam.

Help me brainstorming quest ideas. Just reply with any associations / single words that come to mind when seeing these images (doesn't need to make sense), so my head can work in new directions.

I don't want to get too sentimental, but six years is a really long time, and I appreciate it so much that there are some people here since 2015, supporting, and still interested in the game, to this day. Thank you.

The rise of the copycats. This one has a Steam page and they don't even bother to come up with their own game description. ... Whatever you do in life, don't be as shitty as these people.
