Wondering if trying to think deterritorialized schism leads to some entertaining paradoxes.
e.g. separation between entities vs breakdown of their boundaries.
former maintains shared discursive coherence, latter unites, blends but dissents from status quo ante.

@_____078190@qdnoktsqfr suggestions on where to start with Laruelle?1 reply 0 retweets 1 likeShow this thread -

I would say start Laruelle with his Philosophies of Difference book and then Philosophy and Non-Philosophy

Def second starting with Philosophies of Difference. I'd also add his thesis "Transvaluation of the Transcendental Method" and early essay (he's kind of worked backward from the point in some ways..) "Homo Ex Machina". Brassier's thesis ALIEN THEORY is also a fantastic aid.

Replying to @_____078190 @tadkins613 and
Having the Dictionary of Non-Philosophy alongside to go back and forth to is complicating but worthwhile.

The Dictionary can be useful as a reference no doubt, and I think that’s one of the best ways to use it

In a weird sort of way...I think of it almost like a (gnostic) sayings gospel. Interconnected koans and puzzles that have to be read in terms of their future(s).

That’s well said. Depending on the angle you might be tracking down, each definition has three parts that can suit your need. Sometimes it’s nice to just see Laruelle frame the historical and philosophical context for insight
