In 2013 I did the Reddit secret santa. I put together what I felt was a really thoughtful package full of stuff my giftee would love. In return, I received a postcard that said "sucks to be you". Also the gift I sent never arrived + I got banned from future Reddit secret santas

lol I've been doing them since 2013 as well, and always enjoyed my experience. I'm sure you can appeal your ban no problem, they really are fun most of the time lol, but yeah it's definitely a bit of a gamble.
