Agh now I get it. The border moves depending on where the center is and shouldn't teleport as it changes. Interesting concept. All geniuses.

Yes, but it goes deeper than that. Minecraft doesn't think players should exist beyond the border, so it limits many interactions players can do, stuff like placing blocks and more. We've managed to replicate a lot of these actions manually - I'm very happy with how close we got

Oh man, I was kinda wondering how the borders looked regular.

They aren't anywhere near perfect (lots of polish + bugs to fix) but we basically replicated tons of client interactions using endless little hacks. We almost gave up cuz none of the features of this platform were designed for online gameplay like this

I thought you could use a tweaked version of the border shrinking mechanism from mini walls ! Or is that completely different ?
