I still think the fact there's no dedicated outlet covering Minecraft (and maybe other similar game) news is mad - especially server news

I genuinely never even thought of that. I wouldn't want to be involved in any editorial decisions because of any conflicts of interest, but it's definitely tempting to try to encourage others to take up the mantle!

that usually means there was no demand for it. However the MC community is super odd, so it could just mean there has never been an opportunity for a news network to grow.

people can't demand things they don't know they want. The MC community isn't so odd, it's just decentralised. I think a well run 'news' account covering generic MC news + server news would do quite well

there's plenty of smaller publications and sites but most people get information at source and then if part of community discuss within communities such as reddit, discord, etc

Might actually give this a go, aim to work in news media after I finish my degree so why not start with games.

doooo it, all you need to do is set up some sort of website (can be a free one even) and a twitter, write-up VERY short articles on news and updates and tweet them (also do instagram)
