I explained the reasons in the post but I'd be happy to elaborate. The short of it is we can't afford to run modes that few people play, especially in a resource intensive game like MM. The total population of Hardcore is only a few 100 players compared to 100,000s in other modes
We don't want to remove something people enjoy, but if your favourite mode doesnt have enough players it may be removed. Just like PTL, this is how we operate now and it enables us to create new stuff you may enjoy more
