There may be lag issues at the keyboard too. Brown Cherry vs Red Cherry switches, etc.
Bar any replacements (e.g the keyboard broke and needed replacing) all the mice and keyboards will probably be the same - might not be tho

They should let players bring their own mouse and keyboard... Like at the major OW and other esport tournaments.

You might be able to do this, I'd have to check as it's not our hardware. Lot of hassle though

Or go with basic $10 MS scroll wheel mouse and basic keyboards that ghost keys after 4 imputs to prevent unfair advantages.
