Loot crates are going the same way as online passes did now. Seeing them included in games is now actively putting off potential buyers.

I wouldn't have said it if I didn't believe it. Soon including loot crates will be the kiss of death for a product.

I disagree. People buy them in droves. Bad implementations will be reduced but nothing short of regulation will remove random drops

As long as publishers make more from in-game content than they lose from sales (which they do), they will continue to do so
