      You can always tell when a show creator was inspired by Utopia. Weird blippy soundtrack, gratuitous violence, odd framing choices etc

      Just looked it up, and the composer for Dirk Gently is the guy who composed Utopia - Cristobal Tapia de Veer. Not just hearing things!

          Personally I'm still a fan of the tragically short-lived Steven Mangan version, but this one definitely has chops.

          I saw one episode with a robot and really enjoyed it, plus love that lead actor. Halfway through ep 1 of Netflix, will see how it goes :)
