@htcbro @holly HTC: are people making fake accounts pretending to be you? That's what verification helps avoid. If so you should be verified

@tactful I reported the offending accounts and had them suspended. I am me, and my content is mine so I don't feel the need for verification

@htcbro Sure, this isn't just about you. Others can/have lost real money in the time it takes them between noticing / reporting and removal

@tactful being verified won't remove that risk.

@htcbro It helps reduce it massively. It's one of the reasons Twitter chose to introduce verification, the other being discoverability.

@tactful and there you nailed it. Discoverability. That's what it's all about. Follows and bragging rights. There's no benefit otherwise.
