What should happen to the plinth on which Colston's statue stood?

The old statue taught us nothing. A new statue won't either. I really like the idea of regularly changing art, especially from BAME artists, and it will stay relevant

The Colston statue was erected 170 years after Coltston's death, proposed by rich white Victorian businessman James Arrowsmith who struggled for 2 years to raise funds because nobody wanted it. If statues teach history, why does noone know this?
