But like, copywriting goes beyond games. If you like writing in general, I'd always say: look at creative agencies. They're more diverse workplaces, the work is often more varied albeit maybe not as "fun", and it pays better.

I started in an agency on 32k in 2015. Then 35k until 2017. Then I went freelance and made 65k in 2018 and 55k in 2019 (w/ 3 months off). Now I'm salaried again on 50k. And I write about all kinds of different shit INCLUDING games.

50k salaried seems great! the trick seems to be to work for a pub that actually makes money, not games pubs that know they can squeeze passionate people
