If Twitter were around in the 1960s there would be people tweeting things like "If they didn't want to get arrested, they shouldn't have held illegal sit-ins" If it was around during the 1800s they'd be tweeting "I'm all for equality but did they need to burn that plantation?"

This is my largest issue when I see everyone advocating for "the MLK way" MLK did not "unite people with peaceful protest", they were abused at selma and he was assassinated. When he was alive the majority of the country hated him and the people that didn't were complicit

I will say this as many times as I have to but the true enemy of progression is the moderate. Complacency with a system that abuses black people is taking the side of the oppressor. It's not "one bad apple" its systematic and it's just now being recorded.
