Trying to consider how to manage my backlog of things I'd like to watch/play, and I feel like a simple notepad will get to cluttered. Is there any sort of software (NOT website) which lets me tag a bunch of notes with attributes, and instantly search through those notes?

Looking it up, this isn't what I was looking for when I was searching for a program earlier, different use case Mine's about a library of things I'd like to see across different types of media/devices. Can do a quick list with a .txt file, but this scenario is trickier to manage

Are you sure? It lets you nest items indefinitely. I have watch lists for TV and movies, play lists for games, and I can easily add something to the list on my phone or desktop or check it off the listpic.twitter.com/VThvFJf1PB

While a list can work for some, I feel for what I'm looking for this would be rather scattered. I'd like to bundle things together based on which series they're in, my progress in them, whether they're a movie or game or show (or a mix of the three!)...

Whether they've got something else being released later down the line, and anything else that can be tossed my way. Being able to easily search through that, along with adding descriptions to help with my poor memory in case I wanna quickly give suggestions to friends, is a must.

You can do that here. The lists can nest indefinitely, so a particular series could be a list, and you go in there and there's a bunch of stuff. You decide the schema. It's a simple but incredibly powerful outlining tool And it's all searchable

I'm sorry but for the way I'm going to be using what I found, applying my goals with a list would mean walls upon walls of text that are hard to dig through, along with repeats of the same item multiple times. That and I'm not interested on going for a website for a list system.

Alright, I think you'll struggle to find something that meets all your use cases that isn't just paper lol

I found CintaNotes after some searching earlier, and it seems to fit what I need. I'm surprised there isn't as many note tagging options as I had hoped, but this fits most of my needs for what I plan to use it for.

That's great, you'll have to let me know how it goes once you've been using it for a minute :)
