Sexual identity and sexualisation are 2 separate concepts. Kids media references sexual / romantic identity all the time - how many cartoon characters talk about boyfriends + girlfriends? How many mums kiss dads in Disney movies? That's on-screen depiction of heterosexuality
If you think it's okay for boyfriends to talk about girlfriends, for straight people to talk about being straight but it's 'inappropriate for kids' for queer people to talk about same sex relationship, you're homophobic. This has been used through history to suppress queer people
As much as I agree with your statement, I don't think that this was a battle worth taking. The father (who I presume runs the account) is clearly not interested in talking about online protection of children if the first thing is calling you an authoritarian and neurotic person.
Additionally, the fact that some of those tweets are months if not years apart seems to me that they cherry picked them for this one instance to call out what they think is injecting identity politics into a game.
