The coke ad was a real advert put out by McCann Erickson in the same year the show ended (or shortly after). There are several interpretations, but I like the idea that Don found a way to stop running, went back to NY and just started doing the work. Maybe he ended up happy

Yea only way I think it can be seen. I was very much in the "how can they end the show in this random hippy camp?" mindset, but that ad shows three seasons worth of content without showing it. And an ending I really liked.

Yeah, I thought it ended perfectly. Every character got, if not a conclusion, ended in a place that made sense for them. And just because the show ends doesn't mean they do. My fav TV show by a margin
