Hello, I stopped working on a Minecraft server like 2 years ago. My Sister wants to play Minecraft - she has a Windows 10 PC and Xbox 360, what version of Minecraft should I buy her?

Java version on PC. Bedrock is cool, but it’s very limited compared to the Java version (which is still up to date). You’ll still have the mods and custom map functionality too
I... just bought Windows 10 Bedrock, oof. I can always buy Java if it's too limiting though but cross-play + marketplace seems cool - I only ever played Java back in the day because work

Bedrock is totally fine. If they’re new to Minecraft they’re probably not gonna be modding it out the wazoo anyway.

yeah she's 17 + only played Minecraft a tiny bit when she was younger so basically totally new. To be honest I haven't played anything except 1.8 Java servers in like 5 years lmao, everything is new to me too

Bedrock performance is significantly better on most machines so if she's on a low end PC and has no intentions of playing w/ mods then it was probably a fine decision
