They already do. We don't work on an update for just one week, most updates take at least 2 weeks and some take a lot longer (like dress your pets update)

I was really sad when you guys said there is gonna be no more updates but its best for you guys! I know its very hard for you guys to think of a new update every week but I totally support your guys decision were always here to support you anyways I gtg to sleep good night!

They’re still doing updates. Just not weekly anymore because they want more time to make the updates better.
